Future Simple Tense (Future Indefinite)
Definition: The future simple tense refers to a time later than now(current time) or simply we can say refers to some event in the future time.
In modern English will is preferred to shall for making tense. Shall is rarely used with I and we to make an offer or suggestion.
Examples:
1. You will help him later.
2. You will meet Ram tonight.
Definition in Hindi For Indian Users:
पहचान: इन वाक्यों के अंत में गा /गे /गी आता है।
जैसे:
राम जाएगा।
वे खेलने जायेंगे।
सीता पढने जायेगी।
This Tense Can Be Used In 7 Cases:
1. Express a voluntary action:
Here, the speaker or writer will do something voluntarily. It’s often used when responding to someone else’s request or complaint. You use “will not”, “shall not” when you want to refuse to do the action.
1. I will print the papers when they are ready.
2. I’ll prepare breakfast.
3. I will not waste money.
4. I shall mend the fence.
2. Express a condition:
You can use “will” or “be going to” to make a prediction about the future.
1. It is going to be a great holiday.
2. The president will visit the town.
3. Express a promise:
You use “will” when making a promise.
1. I will be careful.
2. Yes, I will marry you.
3. I’ll come to the meeting on time.
4. For the actions/events that will happen in future.
Examples:
1. India will play cricket tomorrow.
2. They will go college tomorrow.
5. Future Simple tense can be used to make a prediction about the future.
Examples:
1. It will rain tomorrow.
2. We won’t go to Jupiter before the 22nd century.
6. It can be used when there is no plan or decision to do something.
Examples:
1. I will see what I can do to help them.
2. Maybe we’ll stay in and watch television tonight.
7. Future action with “be” as main verb.
Examples:
1. He will be in college tomorrow.
2. Will he be at work tomorrow?
Rule For How To Make Tense:
If Sub= I, You, Singular(एकवचन) or Plural(बहुवचन) [Same Rule for all Subjects]
1. Sub+will/would+Verb 1st form
2. Sub+won’t/wouldn’t+Verb 1st form
3. How+will/would+Sub+Verb 1st form
4. Why+won’t/wouldn’t+Sub+Verb 1st form
Note: In Future simple tense we can use will or would whatever we want.
Speaking in Stress or loudly: Sub+will+Verb 1st form [in this case only will can be used]
Sentence using Never : Sub+will/would+never+Verb 1st form

- We will see everything there.
- Her sister will become a professor.
Negative:
- She will not meet me.
- I will not recognize him.
- We will not promise him anything.
- The children will not understand the lesson.

Interrogative:
- Will they play a trick?
- Will the government not support poor?
- How will you forgive him?
- When will they reach their destination?
- What will you get from it?

- हम रेस जीतेंगे।
We will win the race. - दिल्ली उन्नति करेगा।
Delhi will progress. - पुष्पा को दंड मिलेगा।
Pushpa will get punishment. - वह कोटेज में ठहरेगा।
He will stay in a cotage. - हम खाना खाएंगे।
We shall eat. - हम समुद्र में तैरेंगे।
We Will swim in the swim. - मोहन एक पत्र लिखेगा।
Mohan will write a letter. - कविता एक प्यारा गाना गाएगी।
Kavita will sing a sweet song. - मैं एक किताब लिखूंगा।
I shall write a book.
2. Negative Sentence Example :
- वे मैच नहीं खेलेंगे।
They will not play the match. - अरुण चाय नहीं पिएगा।
Arun will not take a tea. - हम शहर नहीं जाएंगे।
We shall not go to country. - पुलिस चोरों की रक्षा नहीं करेगी।
The police will not protect the thief. - वह किराया नहीं देगा।
He will not pay the fare. - हम सीढियाँ चढ़कर ऊपर नहीं जाएंगे।
We will not go upstairs. - हम हड़ताल में भाग नहीं लेंगे।
We Shall not take a part in the strike. - शुक्र पर हमें ऑक्सीजन नहीं मिलेगी।
We shall not get oxygen on the venus planet.
3. Interrogative Sentence Example :
- क्या वह हमारा साथ देगा?
Will he help us? - क्या भारतीय लोग भ्रष्टाचार सहन नहीं करेंगे।
Will Indians not bear with corruption? - क्या वह एक नया सूट नहीं खरीदेगी।
Will he not purchase a new suit of clothes? - क्या मैं आज यहीं ठहरूंगा।
Shall I stay here today? - क्या वह बच्चों की देखभाल करेगा।
Will He look after the child? - क्या हम मेले में नहीं जाएंगे।
Shall we not go to fair? - क्या वह बदला नहीं लेगा?
Will he not take revenge? - क्या तुम चाय नहीं पियोगे?
